transition au 58°
Transition au 58° is a building complex for a scientific community based in the Torngat Mountains National Park, located at the northern tip of Labrador, Canada. The intervention is inspired by Norman Pressman critics on the concept of overprotection in a northern context. Our objective was then to minimize indoor living by offering tolerable and generous outdoor space. To do so, we created a transition zone, which protects from the harsh climate and exposes the stunning subarctic landscape.
